About the Group:
Living with a chronic health condition can feel isolating, overwhelming, and exhausting—especially when symptoms aren’t visible to others. This peer discussion group is a safe, welcoming space for individuals managing chronic health challenges to connect, share experiences, and connect with one another. Held on a serene educational farm, our sessions combine community, mindfulness, and gentle interactions with animals to foster healing, grounding, and connection.
What We’ll Do:
Each session includes introductions, open sharing, and a focus on a weekly topic. Participants are encouraged to discuss strategies and experiences that have helped them manage their condition, including diet, lifestyle adjustments, energy management, navigating healthcare, and benefits. Mindfulness practices and opportunities to engage with farm animals provide additional tools for relaxation, emotional support, and grounding in the present moment.
Sample Weekly Discussion Topics:
Diet & Lifestyle Support: Foods, routines, and habits that improve daily functioning
Energy Management & Pacing: Strategies for conserving energy and avoiding burnout
Mindfulness Practices: Simple techniques for stress reduction, mental clarity, and emotional regulation
Navigating the Healthcare System: Advocating for yourself and coordinating care
Invisible Disabilities: Managing conditions others may not see or understand
Benefits & Resources: Accessing social services, disability support, and workplace accommodations
Animal & Nature Connection: Spending time with animals and the farm environment for emotional support and grounding
Who Should Join:
Anyone living with a chronic health condition who seeks community, practical strategies, emotional support, mindfulness, and connection with nature and animals in a judgment-free environment.
